With the EuroMillons there is a (Lucky Star) combination that involves 5 balls drawn from 50, plus 2 balls drawn from 9 and the jackpot is claimed when 5 balls plus the 2 lucky stars are matched, this gives a 1 in 76 million chance of winning when compared with the UK Lotto that has a 1 in 14 million chance. (Match 6 balls from 49 with the UK Lotto). The advantage of the UK Lotto is the shorter odd’s but this gives people more of an opportunity to win when compared with the European Lottery.
